What were some of Amelia Earhart's greatest ideas?

Amelia Earhart is not best known for ideas.  She is best
known for her groundbreaking flying achievements.  However, to the extent that she
represented ideas, her main ideas were
that

• Flying in general is safe and is the wave
  of the future.


• Women should be allowed to fly and should
  be generally equal to men.


• People of her generation could
  and should pioneer new ideas and new ways of
  living.

Earhart was something of a symbol of
her age.  The 1920s were a time in which women were getting to have more and more
independence.  It was also an era in which people were able to do more things for fun
and leisure. Earhart's ideas reflect this time as she advocated for new things and for
more freedom for women.
