How does Boo Radley develop theme in To Kill A Mockingbird?There is always this kind of character in books who appears rarely but is referred to...

Boo Radley is used to explore many themes, including
the theme that you should treat people with respect rather than intolerance or
prejudice.


Boo Radley is an important character in the
book, although it is true that he does not appear often.  From the beginning of the
book, the child characters are focused on Boo.  This is to frame the story, and let the
reader know that the story of Boo Radley is important.  In the beginning, we are
introduced to prejudice and intolerance in the town of Maycomb through the rumors about
the Radleys.  Boo is regarded as a monster, and the children act out his story in the
yard.  Atticus tries to encourage his children to be respectful to the Radley family and
Boo in particular.


The prejudice and discrimination faced
by Boo foreshadows the larger societal problem of racial prejudice that we see in Tom
Robinson.  With Tom's case, the story moves beyond the childlike innocence of the theme
we saw in Boo and moves to the deeper, darker realm of the deep-set societal prejudice
that Tom faces.  As with Boo, the children learn that someone is not less than a person
just because he is a member of the "other" and a victim of
society.


At the end of the story, the two plot lines
converge.  This is where the theme is solidified.  Ewell, the person who truly is bad,
tries to attack Scout and Boo saves her, killing Ewell.  We learn that Boo is kind,
gentle and shy but also brave enough to leave his isolation to reach out and help
Scout.

Is there any other solar system in this Milky Way Galaxy?

Let's compare definitions here astronomically.  A solar
system is a set of planetary bodies orbiting a star.  A galaxy is a massive collection
of stars.  The Milky Way is the name for the galaxy in which our solar system
resides.


So the answer to your question is not only yes,
but repeatedly yes.  Hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of solar systems exist
within our galaxy, and within every galaxy in the
universe.


The Hubble Space Telescope has already identified
more than 400 planets outside of our solar system within the Milky Way Galaxy, including
some which appear to have atmospheres and water or ice.

What is magic realism in relationship to Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Chronicle of a Death Foretold.

Magical realism as a genre is often associated with Latin
litterateurs who, like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, make good use of the richness of their
native tongue to produce powerful parables, and situations of a dissociative nature
which allow the reader to create a metaphor or allegory on their own
accord. 


An example of magical realism in
Chronicle of a Death Foretold is the importance placed on symbols
and premonitory dreams as factual pieces of information. The fact that these symbols
help to guide the plot of the story lead us to understand the important role which they
play within it. Also, the disguising of the brothel when it is described as a form of
magical place whose scent and strange elegance invites the reader to wonder what kind of
place it actually is happens to be an instance of magical realism. It is as if something
surreal was in the atmosphere taking the place of what is actually
there.


These forms of allegory are similarly exposed
in One Hundred Years of Solitudewhere we encounter the character of
Pilar Ternera, for example, whose specific "scent of smoke" seemed to hypnotize her
lovers and rendered them weak in her presence.


Therefore,
you could argue that magical realism is, in a way, a form of existential literature with
less depth but more allegorical content, and Marquez is the absolute conqueror of this
type of genre.

What is the rising action of "The Devil and Tom Walker"?

The rising action in "The Devil and Tom Walker" by
Washington Irving consists of all the events that take place between the devil and Tom
before the turning point of the story when Tom refuses to pay the devil his due share of
the profits.  Tom first meets the devil while walking through a detour in the swamp, and
here their relationship begins.  Later, the devil presumably kills Tom's wife and men in
town who are guilty of bad acts.  The devil senses Tom's greed and proposes that they
strike a bargain.  The action rises as Tom agrees to become a usurer for the devil--Tom
believes that he is going to get rich, while the reader understands that Tom has made an
unbreakable pact with the devil.  Tom does become wealthy, and his greedy acts continue
to make the action of the story rise.  This heightened tension is then challenged when
the devil comes to reclaim the money and Tom must make a choice.  His refusal to submit
to the devil ends the rising action and the turning point in the story
occurs.

What happened to Miss Maudie's house in chapters 8-9 of To Kill a Mockingbird? What was her reaction?

On the night of the unseasonable snow in Maycomb, Jem and
Scout were awakened by Atticus and hurried from their home. Outside they saw that Miss
Maudie's house was on fire. Neighbors were busy saving furniture from the fire, but the
house was nearly a total loss. Miss Maudie seemed surprisingly calm and
unconcerned.

Cecil Jacobs was one of
Scout's classmates. He became another one of her victims (apparently) after he claimed
that "Scout Finch's daddy defended niggers." Cecil will reappear in one of the final

to what extent do wounds play in understanding the facts and circumstances surrounding a wrongful death

Wound interpretation in the case of wrongful death is the
job of the Forensic Pathologist, a physician who has had residency training in pathology
and forensic pathology.  Death involving wounds is unnatural, either accident, homicide
or suicide.  It is the task of the forensic pathologist to determine cause and
circumstances of death.



Wounds are conveniently
divided into those from penetrating trauma, such as gunshot wounds and stabbings, versus
wounds caused by blunt force injuries, including contusions (bruises), abrasions
(scrapes), lacerations and fractures.



In a
homicidal shooting the pathologist will determine the range and direction of fire. 
Range of fire based on examination of gunshot wounds is classified as contact,
near-contact, intermediate and distant.  Direction is determined by the path of the
bullet into or through the body, and gives some indication of the direction from which
the fire came, and/or the posture and position of the victim relative to that of the
shooter.



In stabbing cases one can determine
from the shape of the stab wound the rough dimensions and characteristics of the knife
(single edge, double edge, presence or absence or serrations, thickness of blade, and so
on).  There may be pinpoint prod injuries from the knife tip if the assailant has held
the unarmed victim at bay before being fatally stabbed.  If stabbing was forceful, the
stab wound may have an adjacent skin bruise or abrasion from the hilt/handle of the
knife.  If extreme force is used there may be bruises around the stab wound from the
assailant’s knuckles.



Contusions (bruises) are
sometimes patterned, giving an indication of the shape of the blunt weapon used.  As an
example, if a subject were struck with the broad side of a 2 x 4 piece of lumber hard
against his outer upper arm, there will be a broad pale area measuring roughly 4 inches
from the impact, outlined on either side by bruising.  The pallor (pale area) is from
compression of the blood vessels beneath the area of impact.  The bruised or hemorrhagic
area is caused by shearing forces at the edges of the board, where blood vessels are
broken.  The blood vessels are compressed under the impact area.  The blood then squirts
out at the weapon’s edges through the ruptured
vessels.



These are examples of the role and
method of wound interpretation in evaluating the circumstances of trauma-related
deaths.
