The thing that these people have most in common with one
another is that they all tried to be absolute rulers (I assume you are talking
especially about King Louis XIV of France).
All of these
men ruled over their countries more or less absolutely. The first two of them ruled
because they were kings, Saddam Hussein ruled because he had managed to take power by
working his way up through the ranks of his political party. But how they got power
does not really matter. What matters, what they have in common, is that they all held
all of the important power in their societies. They did not have to listen to what any
sort of parliament said or what their people wanted.
In
short, then, these men were all absolute rulers or dictators if you want to use that
term.
