If C is the midpoint of the degment AB such that C(2,3) and A(-4,-1) find B.

It is given that C is the midpoint of A and
B.

The coordinates of C are (2,3) and that of A are ( -4,
-1)

Let B have the coordinates (x ,
y)

As C is the midpoint of A and B, we
have

(x + -4)/2 = 2

=>
x - 4 = 4

=> x = 8

(y +
- 1)/2 = 3

=> y - 1 =
6

=> y =
7

So the point B is ( 8 ,
7)

Calculate tan(x-y), if sin x=1/2 and sin y=1/3. 0

We'll write the formula of the tangent of difference of 2 angles. tan (x-y) = (tan x - tan y)/(1 + tan x*tan y) ...
