What is the equation of the line between the points (4,3 ) and ( 7, 9)?

The equation between the two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)
is given by (y – y1) = [(y2-y1) / (x2 – x1)]*(x – x1).

Here
we have the two points (4, 3) and (7, 9). This gives x1 = 4, x2 =7, y1 = 3 and y2 =
9.

Substituting the values in (y – y1) = [(y2-y1) / (x2 –
x1)]*(x – x1)

=> (y – 3) = [(9 – 3) / (7 – 4)]*(x –
4)

=> y – 3 = (6/3)*(x –
4)

=> y – 3 = 2x –
8

The required line is y – 2x + 5 =
0.

Calculate tan(x-y), if sin x=1/2 and sin y=1/3. 0

We'll write the formula of the tangent of difference of 2 angles. tan (x-y) = (tan x - tan y)/(1 + tan x*tan y) ...
